This exquisite 2012 Pierre Peters Montjolys Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc is crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from the exceptional Montjolys vineyard. From a lieu-dit that sits in a small depression and where the soils are richer in clay comes the inaugural release of Péters's 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Spéciale Les Montjolys, a lovely wine that offers up aromas of freshly baked bread, citrus oil, green apple, warm biscuits and white flowers. It's medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with the same incisive, chalky spine that characterizes Les Chétillons, but it has more finesse and less youthful austerity. It's a lovely addition to the range.
