Antica Terra 'Coriolis' Pinot Noir 2019

Aromas are ripe and spicy – a whirl of red berries and plums.  Quite showy on the palate – rich and round, with easy charm and drinkability.  Sweet black cherries, raspberries and plums, with floral notes, spice, a tease of toffee, and a hint of meatiness.  A palate-coating pleasure wine that you can enjoy now.

Maggie ensures that the wine that gets bottled under the Antica Terra name is, year after year, the very highest expression possible in any given vintage.  The way Maggie described it to us is when they are blind tasting the different lots and pushing them to opposite sides of the table to find the three opposing characters of Ceras, Botanica and Antikythera, there are some barrels that just don’t fit into one of these expressions (including ones from our estate, Shea Vineyard and Seven Springs).  The wine is not qualitatively less at all, just in a different world and these are kept to the side and bottled under Coriolis.
