Introducing the 2019 Domaine de l'Horizon Esprit de l'Horizon, a captivating blend of 60% Carignan and 40% Syrah.
Crafted by Thomas Teibert with a commitment to minimal intervention winemaking, this wine showcases the essence of the Roussillon terroir. The Carignan and Syrah vines, aged between 15 and 30 years, yield grapes of exceptional quality.
During vinification, one-third of the clusters are left whole to enhance spice, structure, and complexity. The wine then matures for one year in a blend of foudres and demi-muids, all of which are previously used. With pigeage performed sparingly by foot and remontage as the primary means of extraction, the wine embodies a harmonious balance of depth and finesse.
With its intriguing depth, herbaceous complexity, and modest alcohol content of 12.5%, this wine offers a truly distinctive expression of southern French winemaking.
